DAryl and Carla's story of their Delorme Challenge.
We have finished The Kansas Delorme Challenge.
But with a couple of small out of the way trips to places we were going anyway we knocked down several pages.
1-5-06 We picked up 5 more blocks on the way to Oklahoma for a late Chrismas get together, bringing us to 22 of the 65.
1-22-06 We picked up another 6 pages bringing our total to 28 pages.
5-27/28/29-06 We decided for Memorial Day, we’d go on a caching binge. We took out 29 pages in three days, too many miles to think of, I really don’t want to think of how many gallons of gas, and one tire… We cached and placed flowers on loved ones graves along the way as well. We have found so many pages now it's easier to count down the 8 left then the 57 found!!!
6-10/11-06 The eight pages left after Memorial Day have been bugging us, and two weeks was all the longer we could take it.
So when Carla got off work Saturday night we headed to the southwest end of the state and got started with a FTF at ten minutes after midnight. We then went 32 miles north and found one on the next page five minutes after midnight. The time change between Central Time and Mountain Time means you can go back in time.
We found the last cache needed (page 18) by mid afternoon. What a great time we had doing this, Carla has become the premier navigator in the family, and we both can almost read encrypted hints without deciphering them.
Thanks to all the people that have hidden the caches needed to make this challenge possible.
Here's DAryl at Mingo, with a couple of other cachers we caught looking for it.

What fun we had doing it. It looks like Oklahoma is next......
