Our affiliation is
with the United States Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Church.
The Mennonite Brethren Church is an evangelical Bible believing and
living church. We believe that
salvation is by grace from God through faith in Jesus Christ.
This faith is lived out in every day life in relationship with God and
other people.
“To Know Christ,
and to make Him Known.”
We
strive for a balance in the following ways:
God alone is worthy
of praise, adoration, worship and service.
He desires our worship. We regularly gather to worship God with out
praise, offerings and service.
Our Sunday Morning services are upbeat times to experience God’s love. We celebrate in song using choruses and hymns. Our worship team leads us with the accompaniment of piano, organ and drums. Puppet ministry including a blue mouse named Mortimer teaches the children.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God used for teaching, reproof, correction and training. It is the standard for our faith and life. Sunday morning we provide classes for all ages. During the worship service we focus on it through song, sermon and service. The children are taught it through puppet ministry, which includes a blue mouse named Mortimer.
The family of God
is designed to work together as the parts of a body.
Each part is important and needed for the well being of the whole.
Our Elders and pastor is active in moderating the spiritual, emotional
and physical needs of the church body. Fellowship,
meals, visits, counseling and encouragement are some of the ways we care for one
another.
Jesus expects His children to share His Good news with people through out their neighborhood, state, nation and world. We embrace His call to proclaim the saving hope of Jesus Christ with other people. Small groups, friendships, prayer meetings, Wednesday children ministries and worship services are all ways we seek to build relationships to share Jesus with our friends.
“For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
“I
am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he
will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the
world.”
John 6:51
